AMENDING THE 2026 DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES BUDGET: TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES

 

                     Introduced: 10/13/26

By Social Services Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to amend the 2026 Department of Social Services Budget regarding the implementation of new technology to improve Department efficiencies, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner indicated that this amendment will provide funds to purchase hardware and software regarding virtual phone caseworker assistance and electronic tools for supervision and evaluation, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the 2026 Department of Social Services Budget is hereby amended as follows:

 

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
