DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)

The Department of Mental Health requests permission to renew a contract for Re-Entry services with the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services. The Albany County Reentry Task Force assists individuals who are being released back to the community from prison who have been identified as having high needs/risk and allows for their successfully integration back into the community, for purposes of reducing recidivism.  The total grant award of $411,230 is for the period October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026.
