DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
Pursuant to RFB 2026-049 Albany County Athletic & Community Center Roof Replacement Project, General Services is requesting authorization of a contract with Mid-State Industries, LTD, for a note to exceed cost of $1,519,573. Mid-State Industries, LTD, was the lowest of three (3) bids received at $1,228,811. The not to exceed cost of $1,519,573 includes the lump sum base bid of $1,228,811 plus a 20% contingency allowance of $245,762 and a $45,000 HVAC allowance.
This project is included in the General Survives CAPIT B2302 - County Facility Roof Renovations. Bond HHYC Res. No. 150 of 2024 dated March 11, 2024.
The projected term of this contract will be December1, 2026, through November 30, 2027.
As described above, this project meets the criteria established for SEQR Type II actions pursuant to 6 NYCRR 617.5(c)(18). Accordingly, this action has been determined not to have a significant impact on the environment, and as such, no procedural compliance beyond this determination is required at this time.
