The Department of Mental Health respectfully requests approval to amend the 2026 budget to transfer $356,724 in New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) pass‑through State Aid funds from the Albany County Department of Mental Health to the Albany County Sheriff's Office to support jail‑based addiction services. This reallocation is reflected in the attached budget amendment. Please note that the transfer consists entirely of State Aid funding (100%).
