DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)

The Department of Public Works requests Legislative approval to enter into an agreement with Peter Luizzi & Bros. Contracting, Inc. for the construction of new concrete sidewalks along Heritage Lane in the Town of Colonie, Albany County, to improve pedestrian safety. Four (4) bids were received, with Peter Luizzi & Bros. Contracting, Inc. submitting the lowest at $745,310.00.  Based on the recommendation of Creighton Manning Engineering & Surveying, PLLC and successful completion of other contracts for Albany County, it is recommended that the contract be awarded to Peter Luizzi & Bros. Contracting, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $745,310.00.
