The MVP Arena respectfully requests funding authorization in the amount of $250,000 for the Network Bandwidth Upgrade. The following investment will assist in keeping the facility up to date as the internet and network needs of the events and the equipment continues to grow. This upgrade allows the system to accept more bandwidth than the current capacity of one gigabyte. The arena network was upgraded in 2017. The capacity of the system can handle 1 gigabyte of bandwidth which was adequate at the time. Increased event needs have required the arena to order temporary internet services to run outside the system firewalls and protections.
This project has been included in the 2023 Capital Plan.
Bond authorization for this project was previously approved. This new authorization will allow flexibility with funding options.
