AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 303 FOR 2020 AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 378 FOR 2020 REGARDING COVID-19 FUNDING AND AMENDING THE 2021 DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH BUDGET

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 303 for 2020, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Department of Health/Health Research, Inc. (NYSDOH/HRI) regarding COVID-19 grant funding in an amount of $830,466 for the term commencing July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2022 and an amendment to the 2020 Department of Health Budget to incorporate said funding, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 378 for 2020, this Honorable Body authorized an amendment to Resolution No. 303 for 2020 in order to create various positions and increase the overtime line, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Albany County Department of Health has requested an amendment to the agreement with the New York State Department of Health/Health Research, Inc. in the amount of $975,815 to reflect a new total amount of $1,806,281 rather than $830,466, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested to amend the agreement to reflect an ending date of March 31, 2023 rather than June 30, 2022, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested an amendment to the 2021 Department of Health Budget to incorporate $130,000 of the aforementioned funding now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 303 for 2020 as amended by Resolution No. 378 for 2020 is hereby amended in the amount of $975,815 to reflect a new total amount of $1,806,281 rather than $830,466, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That Resolution No. 303 for 2020 as amended by Resolution No. 378 for 2020 is also amended to reflect an ending date of March 31, 2023 rather than June 30, 2022, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2021 Department of Health Budget is amended as follows:
Increase Revenue Account A3343 COVID-19 Epidemiology by $130,000
Increase Appropriation Account A4010.1 by $130,000 by increasing the following line items:
Increase Line Item A4010 1 8590 RN and PHN Nurse PT by $20,000
Increase Line Item A4010 1 9900 Overtime by $110,000
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendments as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
