Albany County's Department of Management & Budget is requesting authorization to accept funding for NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services FY2025 State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) and State Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program (SLETPP) grant on behalf of the County Sheriff, Department of Health, and Information Services. The County was awarded a total of $593,754 in funding. $273,940 for the Department of Health, $112,000 for Division of Information Services and $207,814 under SLETPP for Sheriff's Services. DOH, DIS and ACSO will budget their grant money into subsequent annual County budgets. State Homeland Security Program and State Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program are both 100% federally funded with no County match requirement.
