AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH WHITNEY M. YOUNG, JR. HEALTH CENTER REGARDING HEALTH HOME SERVICES AND AMENDING THE 2024 DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET

By Health Committee:
WHEREAS, The Director of the Department of Mental Health has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center regarding health home services for individuals with mental illness in an amount not to exceed $347,603 for the term commencing July 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024, and
WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that the aforementioned agreement will be financed through the provision of pass through funding from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports, and
WHEREAS, The Director has also indicated that these services were previously provided by Equinox, Inc., however, through an agreement with the New York State Office of Mental Health, Equinox, Inc. has transferred over its health home services to Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center, and
WHEREAS, The Director has also requested a budget amendment to transfer funding from the Equinox, Inc. line to the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center line, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center, Albany, NY 12207 regarding health home services for individuals with mental illness in an amount not to exceed $347,603 for the term commencing July 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2024 Department of Mental Health Budget is hereby amended as follows:
Decrease Appropriation Account A4322.4 by $359,105 by decreasing Line Item A4322 4 4434 Clearview Center by $359,105
Increase Appropriation Account A4310.4 by $359,105 by increasing Line Item A4322 4 4444 WM Young Center by $359,105
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
