DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
The Albany County Department of Mental Health (ACDMH) respectfully requests approval to amend the 2026 budget to authorize the pass-through of funds received from the New York State Office of Mental Health to the Albany County Department for Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) & Albany Country Department of Mental Health (ACDMH).
The total amount to be transferred to DCYF is $1,239, as detailed in the proposed budget amendment. The total amount to be transferred to ACDMH is $2,507.
This budget amendment will allow the County to properly account for the funds received from the New York State Office of Mental Health and ensure that the funds are allocated to the Albany County Department for Children, Youth & Families and the Albany County Department of Mental Health for their intended purposes.
