The Public Defender’s Office requests authorization to accept grant funds from the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) for the Aid to Defense Program. The Aid to Defense Program funds enhanced defense services designed to expedite the processing of serious and violent felony cases through the courts. The funds to be accepted are for two annual awards of $42,738 each, covering the time period of 4/1/24 through 3/31/26.
