DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
Social Services requests authorization to process an amendment to the approved 2026 Budget to accommodate the cost of two technological implementation processes to improve overall operational efficiency. The hardware/software includes a 1) virtual phone and caseworker assistant tools to be utilized across multiple DSS divisions; and 2) electronic supervisory and evaluation tools
Specifically, a shift in funds will enable payment for the technical advancements out of the Fees for Services and Equipment Repair and Rental lines.
