DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)

The Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center (CVSVC) has been awarded a grant from the New York State Office of Victim Services (OVS). We are requesting authorization to accept these funds and enter into a multi-year contract with OVS in a total amount of $2,489,678 over a three-year term commencing October 1, 2025 and ending September 30, 2028 ($829,892.65/year for each of the three years). We are also requesting authorization to enter into the first year of the multi-year agreement in the amount of $829,892.65 for the term commencing October 1, 2025 and ending September 30, 2026. This funding will be utilized to support staff positions providing direct services to crime victims as well as operational costs during the duration of the three-year term.
