DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
Requesting an amendment to the prior approval of an MOU between Albany County and the City of Albany and the associated budget amendment to accept $900,000 from the City that will match Albany County’s investment in the CARES of NY Housing Resource Connection Program. This is a three-year contract connecting homeless individuals with housing assistance and mental health and addiction services, with the County contributing a matching $900,000, for a combined total of $1.8 million over a three-year period. This amendment clarifies that $300,000 will be transferred from the City to the County in each of the years of 2024, 2025 and 2026.
