DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
The Department of Mental Health requests permission to provide a one-year, no-cost extension for the Addiction Care Center of Albany’s Opioid Settlement Funded Community Grant contract (Contract No. 2024-1990), which is being used to provide short term rental assistance and peer support to individuals leaving inpatient treatment of opioid use disorders. With the County’s approval, ACCA’s OSF Community Grant will be extended to June 30, 2026; no additional funding will be provided, but ACCA will retain access to the $140,000 remaining in their award.
