DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
The Department of Public Works is requesting Legislative authorization of a Resolution to abandon a section of County Route 103, (Blodgett Hill Road), located adjacent to tax parcel 142.-1-25.11, in the Town of Coeymans; and to convey the abandoned section to an abutting property owner per the property owner’s request, pursuant to New York State Highway Law section 118-A.
Albany County has stopped using and maintaining 0.25 acres of CR 103 as referenced above. Gerald E. Weidman Jr. and Sherrie l. Weidman, who own tax parcel 142.-1-25.11, have offered $250.00 for purchase of the property and have provided mapping and a legal property description to Albany County DPW. Albany County Real Property has reviewed the information provided by the Weidman’s and concurs that the potential purchase price is in line with the market value of the property.
