AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF VARIOUS PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee, McLaughlin:
WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through “in rem” foreclosure title to various parcels of real property located in the City of Albany, and
WHEREAS, The Albany County Land Bank Corporation is the abutting or nearby property owner of these parcels, and has expressed an interest in acquiring the parcels for $1 per parcel, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 141 for 2025, this Honorable Body adopted an Updated Disposition Plan for Real Property Acquired through the In Rem Delinquent Tax Foreclosure Process, and
WHEREAS, § 360-41(c) of the Updated Disposition Plan allows for properties to be sold to abutting or adjacent property owners, and
WHEREAS, § 360-41(f) of the Updated Disposition Plan allows for properties to be sold to for economic development purposes, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any and all documents necessary to convey the following parcels of real property located in the City of Albany to the Albany County Land Bank Corporation for $1 per parcel:
252 Second Avenue (Tax Map No. 76.70-2-7)
254 Second Avenue (Tax Map No. 76.70-2-6)
28 Basset Street (Tax Map No. 76.66-2-8)
319 First Street (Tax Map No. 65.56-3-49)
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Albany County Land Bank Corporation shall be responsible for all closing costs at the time of closing, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
