RESOLUTION NO. 179

AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE FOR THE PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE REGARDING THE SA COVID-19 RECOVERY FUND AND AMENDING THE 2021 CRIME VICTIM AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE CENTER BUDGET

By Law Committee and Mr. Miller:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Director of the Albany County Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence regarding the SA COVID-19 Recovery Fund in the amount of $40,817 for a term commencing June 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2021, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Director indicated that this one-time grant funding will allow the Crime Victim and Sexual Assault Center to better provide services to sexual assault victims while working remotely under COVID-19 conditions, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Director has also requested a budget amendment in order to incorporate this funding into the 2021 Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center Budget, now, therefore be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence regarding the SA COVID-19 Recovery Fund in the amount of $40,817 for a term commencing June 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2021, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the 2021 Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center Budget is hereby amended as follows:

 

Increase Revenue Account A3495 Sexual Assault Prev. Educ. Grant by $40,817

 

Increase Appropriation Account A4610.2 by $14,000 by increasing Line Item A4610 2 2001 Computer Supplies by $14,000

 

Increase Appropriation Account A4610.4 by $26,817 by increasing the following line items:

Increase Line Item A4610 4 4020 Office Supplies by $5,000

Increase Line Item A4610 4 4046 Fees for Services by $21,817

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
