DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
General Services is requesting approval of a cost amendment of contract 2024-1890 (Res. No. 165 of 2024 dated April 8, 2024) with Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture & Preservation, LLP.
Due to unforeseen conditions revealed during the abatement & demolition services associated with the five Prime Contractors, Construction Administration services required to date have exceeded the amount originally quoted in their proposal. Based on the current status of the project, TRW’s amended proposal for an additional $38,100 will cover all Construction Administration services required to complete the project.
TRW’s existing contract is $297,000 for the projected three-year term of May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2027. The proposed amendment will increase the not to exceed total to $335,100. All terms of the existing contract will remain in effect for the duration of the project
Due to TRW’s expertise in Historical Building renovations, it is requested and recommended they continue to provide the CA support required of the five Prime Contractors to complete the project.
