The Department of Economic Development, Conservation and Planning (EDCAP) is requesting authorization to enter into agreement with Hudson River Valley Greenway Communities Council to accept the grant to develop Albany County Natural Resource Inventory. This is a 2027 Budget-year project and will have no fiscal impact on 2026 Budget. The project will develop a comprehensive, countywide Natural Resource Inventory to identify, map, and evaluate Albany County’s environmental assets, including the Helderberg Escarpment, major watershed systems such as Normans Kill and Onesquethaw Creek, and other regionally significant ecosystems.
