DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
Social Services requests authorization to enter into agreements with eleven (11) NYS-approved providers to administer Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP) services to eligible adults, sixty years of age and over (according NYCRR 6651 and 6654) to enable them to remain safely in their homes, precluding and/or delaying more costly nursing home care.
Please see attached list of proposed providers. Note: The Department contracts with all interested and qualified agencies to provide EISEP services, thus no RFP required.
Currently 61 clients are being served under the EISEP Program.
