AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH NATIONAL BUSINESS TECHNOLOGIES REGARDING LEASE AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR COUNTY COPIERS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with National Business Technologies regarding lease and maintenance services of thirty-six copiers located in various County facilities in the amount of $200,000 for a term commencing September 1, 2022 and ending August 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Department of General Services, through the County Purchasing Agent issued a Request for Bids for the project, and four were received, and utilizing Kyocera’s National Cooperative Purchasing Network have recommended National Business Technologies regarding the aforementioned services for various County departments as the lowest responsible bidder, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the thirty-six copiers are located in various locations throughout the County including but not limited to the Sheriff’s Office, Department for Children, Youth and Families, Department of Social Services, Department of Probation and the Department of General Services and that all devices will be networked for use as copiers, printers, and document scanners, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with National Business Technologies, Albany, NY 12203 regarding lease and maintenance services of thirty-six copiers located in various County facilities in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for a term commencing September 1, 2022 and ending August 31, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
