DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
The Public Defender’s Office requests authorization to amend the Distribution #11 grant contract with the NYS Office of Indigent Legal Services, as well as authorization of related 2025 budget amendments. Since there were periods of vacancies in the Assistant Public Defender positions funded by the grant, the budget modification is needed to fully utilize the funds provided by the grant.
