DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
The Department of Public Works respectfully requests the Legislature’s approval to enter into an agreement with the Capital Region Transportation Council (CRTC), acting on behalf of the Capital District Transportation Committee (CDTC), the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Capital District, to provide professional transportation engineering and planning services. The agreement will be for a one-year term, beginning April 1, 2026, and ending March 31, 2027, at a cost of $15,000.00. Of the total funding, $8,000.00 will support the Active Transportation Studies currently underway. The remaining $7,000.00 will be used for services including off-road trail data collection, on-demand transportation planning technical assistance, crash data analysis, planning research, transportation data collection and analysis, and preparation of technical memoranda.
