Justification: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)

The MVP Arena respectfully requests funding authorization in the amount of $425,000 in 2024 for the Loading Dock Renovation. $75,000 was already approved for 2022 and that initial expense will be essentially centered in design and structural engineering evaluations. The total project cost will be $500,000. The two dock platforms are 30 years old and in need of replacement. The loading dock area is becoming more of a work area for events. The space has major weatherization gaps and is in constant need of heating or cooling depending on the season. This project will shore up those issues and help minimize utilities waste.

This project has been included in the 2023 Capital Plan.

Bond authorization for this project was previously approved.  This new authorization will allow flexibility with funding options.
