DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
The Division of Information Services is requesting funding authorization in the amount of $1,000,000 for FY2026 to finance the “Core Switch, Telephone Replacement and Data Center” Capital Project. Projects include telephone system replacement, data closet switches, server room infrastructure, core network equipment and other related hardware. To date, as authorized by Resolution 531 of 2025, $3,495,000 in County financing has been approved for this project. Inclusive of this request, the total County Financing made available for the “Core Switch, Telephone Replacement and Data Center” Capital Project will be $4,495,000.
