DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
The Division of Information Services is requesting funding authorization in the amount of $500,000 for FY2025 to finance the “New Facilities IT Infrastructure Upgrades” capital project, as presented in the 2026-2030 Capital Plan (Resolution 229 of 2025). Projects include upgrading core switches, upgrading firewalls, upgrading fiber runs between sites and within buildings, improvements to internet service lines, upgrading camera and access control systems, and other operational technology needs at new sites. Inclusive of this request, the total County financing made available for the “New Facilities IT Infrastructure Upgrades” project will be $500,000.
