DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)

The County Executive’s office is requesting authorization to enter into a contract with Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. for architectural and engineering services related to the development of a new live fire training and public safety training facility. Following a competitive Request for Proposals process, the firm’s submission met all required criteria and received one of the two highest average evaluation scores. After a group review and discussion among the evaluators, Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. was unanimously selected.

 

The proposed contract total is $555,100, which includes schematic design, design development, preparation of construction documents, bidding and contract negotiation support, and contract administration. Approval of this contract will allow the project to advance into the formal design and construction planning phase.
