DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
The Department of Public Works is requesting the Legislature’s approval to purchase of one (1) Sweeper
Truck from Tracey Road Equipment by piggybacking onto Onondaga County Contract No. 0011142 with New
York State for a total amount of $382,900.00. This truck will replace the current sweeper truck purchased in
2008. This truck will be used in the Colonie Subdivision and is critical to successfully achieving our Municipal
Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) requirements, especially with preventing pollution and practicing good
housekeeping for municipal operations.
