DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: (state briefly why legislative action is requested)
Pursuant to RFB# 2025-173 RFB #2025-173-GC- MVP Arena Sound System Upgrade, General Services is requesting authorization of a contract with Gallo Construction Corp. with a not to exceed amount of $448,800.
This contract will provide general construction services for the project. The not to exceed total of this contract includes the base bid of $408,000 plus a 10% contingency of $40,800. Electrical and Mechanical Construction services for this project will be contracted separately.
This project is included in the 2026 MVP Arena Capital Plan C1801 and costs will be covered by Bonds HKV3 Res. No. 159 of 2024 and HKUW Res No 236 of 2026.
Gallo Construction Corp. has provided documentation of their participation in an apprentice
program.
The projected term of this contract is October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
This proposed project meets the criteria established for SEQR Type II actions pursuant to 6 NYCRR 617.5(c) subdivision (1)(31). Accordingly, this action has been determined not to have a significant impact on the environment, and as such, no procedural compliance with SEQR beyond this determination is required at this time.
