AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF WATERVLIET TO SUPPORT A FIREHOUSE SITE FEASIBILITY STUDY

                     By Conservation, Sustainability, and Green Initiatives Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the City of Watervliet to support a feasibility study to identify potential flood-resilient sites for the Watervliet Firehouse in an amount not to exceed $25,0000 for a term commencing December 15, 2023 and ending December 14, 2024, and

                     WHEREAS, The Albany County Climate Resiliency Plan identified the Watervliet Firehouse as being at high risk of vulnerability for future flooding events, and locating a suitable site for a potential new fire station was recommended as a proposed project, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with City of Watervliet to support a feasibility study to identify potential flood-resilient sites for the Watervliet Firehouse in an amount not to exceed $25,0000 for a term commencing December 15, 2023 and ending December 14, 2024, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
