AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH SALIENT CORPORATION REGARDING ANNUAL MAINTENANCE AND USER LICENSING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SALIENT DATA MINING SOFTWARE

By Social Services Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to enter into a three-year agreement with Salient Corporation regarding annual maintenance and user licensing costs associated with Salient data mining software to assist the Department in analyzing data and identifying sources of potential fraud, waste and abuse within the Medicaid program in an amount not to exceed $128,079 for the term commencing September 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2027, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Purchasing Agent indicated that Salient Corporation is the sole source for the annual maintenance of the software and its upgrades, therefore no bidding was required, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner indicated that the cost of the agreement will be fully reimbursed by the federal and state governments, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a three-year agreement with Salient Corporation, Horseheads, NY 14845 regarding annual maintenance and user licensing costs associated with Salient data mining software in an amount not to exceed $128,079 for the term commencing September 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2027, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
