RESOLUTION NO. 411

 

AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS REGARDING MOVING AND STORAGE SERVICES FOR ELIGIBLE TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE RECIPIENTS

 

                     Introduced: 11/14/22

                     By Social Services Committee:

 

WHEREAS, Local Social Services districts are required to provide for payment of moving services on behalf of eligible temporary assistance recipients, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has recommended that the County enter into agreements with New York State Department of Transportation approved carriers, Don’s Moving & Storage and Liedkie Moving & Storage, for moving and storage services in an amount not to exceed $150,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2023, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into agreements with the following carriers regarding moving and storage services for eligible public assistance recipients in an amount not to exceed $150,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2023:

 

Don’s Moving & Storage 981 Broadway Albany, NY 12207

Liedkie Moving & Storage 2696 Curry Rd. Schenectady, NY 12303

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
