AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM MVP HEALTH CARE REGARDING THE ALBANY COUNTY HELDERBERG-HUDSON RAIL TRAIL FREIGHT DEPOT RENOVATION PROJECT AND AMENDING THE 2025 DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, CONSERVATION, AND PLANNING BUDGET

By Public Works Committee:
WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to accept a grant from MVP Healthcare regarding renovations to the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail Freight Depot in the amount of $300,000 for a term commencing July 24, 2025 and ending July 24, 2027, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the aforementioned grant funds will be used to upgrade the Freight Depot and convert it into useful community space, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested an amendment to the 2025 Department of Economic Development, Conservation, and Planning Budget, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to accept a grant from MVP Healthcare, Schenectady, NY 12305 regarding renovations to the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail Freight Depot in the amount of $300,000 for a term commencing July 24, 2025 and ending July 24, 2027, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2025 Department of Economic Development, Planning, and Conservation Budget is hereby as follows:
