RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 538 FOR 2025 AND APPROPRIATING AMOUNTS CONTAINED IN THE 2026 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 538 for 2025, this Honorable Body appropriated the several amounts contained in the 2026 Albany County Budget adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 537 for 2025, and
WHEREAS, Due to errors in the documents presented, the Budget adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 537 for 2025 contained defects which rendered it legally ineffective, and it has now been rescinded and a corrected Resolution No. 544 for 2025 has been adopted, and
WHEREAS, It is the position of this Honorable Body, in consultation and agreement with the Office of the County Executive and the Departments of Law and Management and Budget, that Resolution No. 538 for 2025 must also be rescinded and the several amounts contained in the newly adopted budget must be appropriated, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that Resolution No. 538 for 2025 regarding the appropriation of the amounts contained in the 2026 Albany County Budget, is hereby rescinded and repealed in its entirety, and, be it further
RESOLVED, By the County Legislature of the County of Albany that the several amounts in the 2026 Budget as adopted by this Honorable Body pursuant to Resolution No. 544 for 2025, be appropriated for such items, effective January 1, 2026.
