RESOLUTION NO. 386

 

AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH TOGETHER FOR YOUTH REGARDING THE HOME RUN PROGRAM

                     By Social Services Committee:

 

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 605 for 2024 this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with Together for Youth regarding the Home Run Program with two one-year options to renew, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to exercise the first renewal option with Together for Youth, regarding the Home Run Program in an amount not to exceed $276,762 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, with one additional one-year option to renew, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the Home Run Program is an intensive and client-centered family, school, community, and home-based truancy prevention program for at-risk youth that will continue to provide an array of services including individual and family counseling in the Albany and Cohoes City School Districts, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to exercise the first renewal option with Together for Youth, Albany, NY 12205 regarding the Home Run Program in an amount not to exceed $276,762 for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, with one additional one-year option to renew, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
