AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CANTATA HEALTH SOLUTIONS REGARDING PATIENT AND BILLING SOFTWARE AT THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH

WHEREAS, The Director of the Department of Mental Health has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Cantata Health Solutions regarding patient and billing software in an amount not to exceed $833,580 for the term commencing September 1, 2026 and ending August 31, 2031, and

 

WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that the contract is for the ongoing subscription and license agreement for the operation of patient and billing software that includes web-based access for clinicians, patient portal access, implementation of billing modules, e-signature capabilities, New York State Clinical Records Initiative compliance, use of e-prescribing, and expansion of the Electronic Health Record, and

 

WHEREAS, The Director has also indicated that Cantata Health Solutions absorbed Information Management Associates (IMA), the Department’s previous contractor, and assumed all services previously provided by IMA, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Cantata Health Solutions, Lakeway, TX 78734 regarding patient and billing software in an amount not to exceed $833,580 for the term commencing September 1, 2026 and ending August 31, 2031, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
