AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH LASALLE SCHOOL REGARDING OPIOID SETTLEMENT FUNDING AND AMENDING THE 2026 DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET

By Health Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The Director of the Department of Mental Health has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with LaSalle School regarding a 2026 Opioid Settlement Funding Mini-Grant in the amount of $25,000 for the term commencing August 1, 2026 and ending July 31, 2027, and

 

WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that this funding will be used to implement an evidence-based neurofeedback program focused on substance use disorder and trauma recovery, and

 

WHEREAS, The Director has also indicated LaSalle School’s proposal was one of nine proposals received for funding through the Opioid Settlement Funded Mini-Grants, and

 

WHEREAS, The Director has also requested a budget amendment to incorporate this funding into the 2026 Department of Mental Health Budget, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with LaSalle School, Albany, NY 12203 regarding a 2026 Opioid Settlement Funding Mini-Grant in the amount of $25,000 for the term commencing August 1, 2026 and ending July 31, 2027, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the 2026 Department of Mental Health Budget is hereby amended as follows:

 

 

and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
