ADOPTING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR SHAKER PLACE GARAGE AND PARKING LOT EXTENSION PURSUANT TO THE STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEW ACT (SEQRA)

 

                     Introduced: 12/4/23

                     By Conservation, Sustainability, and Green Initiatives Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Albany County Department of Economic Development, Conservation and Planning has reviewed and submitted a State Environmental Quality Review recommendation regarding the proposed Shaker Place Garage and Parking Lot Extension at 100 Heritage Lane in the Town of Colonie, and

                     WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 34 for 2023, Albany County assumed lead agency status for the project and designated the project as a Type I action, and

                     WHEREAS, The Albany County Department of Economic Development, Conservation and Planning completed the various parts of a full Environmental Assessment Form for the project and recommended a finding that the project will not have a significant impact on the environment, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that it has reviewed the findings and recommendations contained within the full Environmental Assessment Form and taken a hard look at the project and, pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), it hereby determines that the project will not have a significant impact on the environment and no further environmental review is necessary, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Chair of the Legislature is hereby authorized and directed to sign and file any documents that may be necessary to comply with SEQRA for the Project, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
