AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CAYUGA CENTERS REGARDING THE PROVISION OF THE FUNCTIONAL FAMILY THERAPY PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Cayuga Centers regarding the provision of the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Program in an amount not to exceed $303,489 for a term commencing January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, with two one-year options to renew, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the FFT Program is an evidenced-based practice that serves as an alternative to detention for youth displaying a range of problematic behaviors from excessive school absences, acting out, and incorrigibility, to more serious behaviors such as conduct disorder, violent acting out, and substance abuse, with the goal of preventing the need for placement or re-placement in foster care, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Cayuga Centers, Auburn, NY 13021 regarding the provision of the FFT Program in an amount not to exceed $303,489 for a term commencing January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, with two one-year options to renew, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
