AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS WITH THE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM AND THE MOHAWK HUDSON LAND CONSERVANCY REGARDING TRANSFER OF TWO PARCELS FOR OPEN SPACE LAND CONSERVATION

WHEREAS, The County Executive and the Albany County Legislature have a vested interest in land and open space conservation throughout the County and the Legislature previously created the Albany County Nature and Historic Preserve System, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Town of Bethlehem regarding the purchase of 133 acres of land located in the Town of Bethlehem for the purpose of open space conservation in an amount not to exceed $210,000, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy regarding the purchase of 197 acres of land located in the Town of Guilderland for the purpose of open space conservation in an amount not to exceed $150,000, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Town of Bethlehem regarding the purchase of acreage located in the Town of Bethlehem for the purpose of open space conservation in an amount not to exceed $210,000, and, be it further
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy regarding the purchase of acreage located in the Town of Guilderland for the purpose of open space conservation in an amount not to exceed $150,000, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further
