AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS REGARDING THE SCHOOL BUS STOP ARM ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into agreements with BusPatrol America, LLC, Voorheesville Central School District, South Colonie Central School District, Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District, Bethlehem Central School District, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District, North Colonie Central School District, and Guilderland Central School District regarding the School Bus Stop Arm Enforcement Program for the term commencing December 1, 2024 and ending December 1, 2029, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that these agreements will allow for the continued prevention of cars passing stopped school busses in addition to the continuation of revenue which is used for defensive driving education in schools, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into agreements with BusPatrol America, LLC, Lorton, VA 22079,  Voorheesville Central School District, South Colonie Central School District, Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District, Bethlehem Central School District, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District, North Colonie Central School District, and Guilderland Central School District regarding the School Bus Stop Arm Enforcement Program for the term commencing December 1, 2024 and ending December 1, 2029, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
