AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH ACROW CORPORATION OF AMERICA FOR THE PURCHASE OF A TRUSS BRIDGE FOR THE ALBANY COUNTY RAIL TRAIL OVER SR 85 IN THE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Acrow Corporation of America (ACROW) for the purchase of a 140 foot truss bridge for use at the Rail Trail over New Scotland Road SR 85 in the Town of Bethlehem in an amount not to exceed $343,000 for a term commencing March 1, 2024 and ending October 1, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Department, through the Purchasing Agent, issued a Request for Bids for a Truss Bridge for Albany County Rail Trail Over SR 85, and ACROW was the sole bidder, and
WHEREAS, The Department reviewed said bid and has recommended ACROW based on its sole bid for the Optional Bridge Structure and cost, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with ACROW, Parsippany, NJ 07054, for the purchase of a 140 foot truss bridge for use at the Rail Trail over New Scotland Road SR 85 in the Town of Bethlehem in an amount not to exceed $343,000 for a term commencing March 1, 2024 and ending October 1, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
