RESOLUTION NO. 246

 

AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH SIEMENS INDUSTRY, INC. REGARDING AN ENERGY PERFORMANCE CONTRACT

By Public Works Committee, Miller:

                     

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc. regarding an Energy Performance Contract (EPC) for a term of four years commencing on the date of the contract with two two-year renewal options, and

 

WHEREAS, The County Executive, through the County Purchasing Agent, issued a request for proposals regarding an EPC and has recommended awarding the contract to Siemens Industry, Inc. as the most qualified proposer, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that this agreement will allow Siemens Industry, Inc. to maximize energy savings for the County by identifying efficiencies and related improvements to existing facilities and fixtures, and

 

WHEREAS, The costs for implementing recommended improvements are financed through the EPC and offset by the potential savings realized through the implementation of recommended improvements, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc., Latham, NY 12110 regarding an Energy Performance Contract for a term of four years commencing on the date of the contract with two two-year renewal options, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
