AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION AND AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES REGARDING THE GUN INVOLVED VIOLENCE ELIMINATION GRANT

                     WHEREAS, The Albany County District Attorney has requested authorization to submit a grant application and enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services regarding the Gun Involved Violence Elimination grant in the amount of $236,740 for the term commencing July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The District Attorney has indicated that the funding will be used to combat gun-related crime in Albany County, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application and enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services regarding the Gun Involved Violence Elimination grant in the amount of $236,740 for the term commencing July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said application and agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
