RESOLUTION NO. 234

AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 30 W. VAN VECHTEN ST. (TAX MAP NO. 76.61-4-12) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

By Audit and Finance Committee:

WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through "in rem" foreclosure title to a parcel of real property located at 30 W. Van Vechten Street (Tax Map No. 76.61-4-12) in the City of Albany, and

WHEREAS, Christopher Armao, the immediate former owner of the property, has expressed an interest in reacquiring the parcel of real property located at 30 W. Van Vechten Street (Tax Map No. 76.61-4-12) in the City of Albany, and has committed to paying the full amount of delinquent taxes and fees due in the amount of $3,320.00, and

WHEREAS, The Albany County Real Property Disposition Plan, adopted by Resolution No. 141 for 2025, implemented procedures for properties to be sold to immediate former owners, including that any and all liens extinguished as a result of the foreclosure must be reinstated, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any and all documents necessary to convey the parcel of real property located at 30 W. Van Vechten Street (Tax Map No. 76.61-4-12) in the City of Albany to Christopher Armao for the amount of all delinquent real property taxes owing to the County on said property as of the date it was foreclosed upon "in rem" by the County in the amount of $3,320.00, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That any and all liens upon the property which were previously extinguished as a result of the foreclosure action shall be deemed reinstated and restored pursuant to the Albany County Real Property Disposition Plan, adopted by Resolution No. 141 for 2025, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That Christopher Armao shall be responsible for all closing costs at the time of closing, and, be it further
