RESOLUTION NO. 441

 

AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 346 SECOND STREET (TAX MAP NO. 65.55-6-31) AND 348 SECOND STREET (TAX MAP NO. 65.55-6-30) IN THE CITY OF ALBANY

                     By Audit and Finance Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through “in rem” foreclosure title to parcels of real property located at 346 Second Street (Tax Map No. 65.55-6-31) and 348 Second Street (Tax Map No. 65.55-6-30) in the City of Albany, and

 

WHEREAS, James Scaringe, an abutting property owner, has expressed an interest in acquiring the parcels for $20,000 each, and

 

WHEREAS, Revisions to the County’s Real Property Disposition Plan approved by Resolution No. 29 for 2019 allow for properties to be sold to abutting property owners, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any and all documents necessary to convey property located at 346 Second Street (Tax Map No. 65.55-6-31) and 348 Second Street (Tax Map No. 65.55-6-30) in the City of Albany to James Scaringe, 41 James Drive, Albany, NY 12211 for $20,000 each, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That James Scaringe shall be responsible for all closing costs as well as a pro-rated share of any and all property taxes owed on the property at the time of closing, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
