AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ADVANCE ALBANY COUNTY ALLIANCE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REGARDING THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE ALLIANCE ARTS AND CULTURE GRANT PROGRAM FOR 2024

WHEREAS, The County Executive’s Office has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the Advance Albany County Alliance Local Development Corporation regarding the administration of the Alliance Arts and Culture Grant Program for 2024 in an amount not to exceed $497,350 for a term commencing January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the Advance Albany County Alliance will disburse such funding to selected applicants for the purpose of fostering artistic innovation and community engagement by enhancing the vibrant arts and cultural landscape of Albany County, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Advance Albany County Alliance Local Development Corporation, Albany, NY 12207 regarding the administration of the Alliance Arts and Culture Grant Program for 2024 in an amount not to exceed $497,350 for a term commencing January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
