RESOLUTION NO. 417
AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF COEYMANS

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, CR 103, also known as Blodgett Hill Road in the Town of Coeymans, is owned by the County of Albany, and
WHEREAS, Eric Burns, owner of 758 Blodgett Hill Road (Tax Map No. 142.-1-24.31) in the Town of Coeymans, has expressed an interest in acquiring a section of CR103 totaling +0.23 acres located adjacent to his property, and has offered to pay $250 for the property, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive’s Office has indicated that this portion of CR 103 constitutes the main driveway for 758 Blodgett Hill Road, and that the owner wishes to acquire the portion as part of his parcel to avoid any issues regarding ownership in the future, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 417 for 2024, the aforementioned +0.23 acre portion of CR 103 was deemed abandoned pursuant to Highway Law § 118-A, and “no longer necessary for public use” pursuant to County Law § 215 and § 65-3 of the Albany County Code and is therefore eligible to be sold, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any documents necessary to convey the aforementioned +0.23 acre portion of real property located at CR 103, adjacent to 758 Blodgett Hill Road (Tax Map No. 142.-1-24.31) in the Town of Coeymans and as indicated on the map annexed hereto to Eric Burns for the amount of $250, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
