AUTHORIZING A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE TOWN OF NEW SCOTLAND REGARDING THE USE OF SPACE AT THE ALBANY COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR THE TOWN OF NEW SCOTLAND JUSTICE COURT

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into a lease agreement with the Town of New Scotland regarding the lease of approximately 3,520 square feet of space at the Albany County Sheriff’s Office located at 58 Verda Avenue, Clarksville for use as the Town of New Scotland Justice Court for a term commencing May 1, 2024 and ending April 30, 2029, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff has indicated that the Town of New Scotland will pay rent as follows: $21,000 for year one, $21,630 for year two, $22,280 for year three, $22,950 for year four, and $23,640 for year five, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a lease agreement with the Town of New Scotland regarding the lease of space at the Albany County Sheriff’s Office located at 58 Verda Avenue, Clarksville for use as the Town of New Scotland Justice Court for a term commencing May 1, 2024 and ending April 30, 2029, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
